What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Student - Thin Film position at II-VI?
Support for coating operations projects and maintenance activities. Projects include but are not limited to 5S, production support activities, production equipment upgrades, general light maintenance activities and other projects as required.
Education & Experience
- Must be enrolled in a college program.
Skills
- Familiar with common hand tools such as wrenches, ratchets, screwdrivers and metal cutters
- Displays high degree of self-motivation and initiative
- Collaborative working relationships
- Maintains confidentiality
Working Conditions
- General office and light manufacturing.
- Some activities may require the use of a half face respirator.
- Some work will be with low level radioactive materials and hazardous chemicals.
Physical Requirements
- High level of mental and visual acuity required.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Safety Requirements
All employees are required to follow the site EHS procedures and Coherent Corporate EHS standards.
