Job Description
Purpose of the job
- Secure the store communication completes and amplifies the shopping experience and range presentation through IKEA visual.
- Verbal identity thereby contributing to building consumers' perception of the IKEA brand in the local market as unique and consistent.
Responsibility of the job
- Use graphic communication competence to strengthen the uniqueness and consistency of the IKEA identity in store communication by applying the principles of IKEA visual and verbal identity.
- Actively contribute to the department action plan with initiatives that will grow the business and support long-term profitability and execute the agreed plans in close co-operation with other functions.
- Actively contribute to developing, implementing and evaluating store communication strategies.
- Work together with the team member and other functions in the store.
- Stay up to date with knowledge about home furnishing, communication and retail design trends to follow creative directions that inspire and surprise store visitors through the IKEA visual and verbal identity.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills.
- Ability to generate, visualize and present new ideas.
- Confident in approaching and communicating clearly with different people in various situations.
- Have a flexible and hands-on approach to responsibilities as well as the ability to meet set deadlines.
- Understand life at home in the local market and the outcome of market research, e.g. IKEA Customer Satisfaction Survey, IKEA Brand Capital.
- Passionate in home furnishing and retail industry.
- Able to work on weekends and public holiday.
- Able to communicate in English & Bahasa Melayu - speaking and writing.
- 2 years experience in Graphic Communicator.
