CAD Drafter/Drafter/Design Technician/AutoCAD Drafter – Oak Brook, IL.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US and will not require current or future sponsorship.
We are seeking a Design Technician to join our rapidly growing team in the Chicagoland area.
Responsibilities:
- Create precise and detailed technical drawings using CAD software based on project requirements, sketches, and specifications provided by engineers, architects, or designers.
- Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and other documentation to understand project objectives and design intent.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure accurate representation of design concepts and technical specifications in the drawings.
- Make necessary revisions and modifications to existing drawings based on feedback and changes from the project team.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, building codes, and regulations in the preparation of drawings.
- Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and related documentation, both electronically and in hard copies.
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines and deliverables.
- Stay updated on the latest CAD software tools and techniques to enhance drafting efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Engineering Technology is preferred.
- 2 years of experience with utility drafting and design.
- Experience with AutoCAD. (Revit, or MicroStation) knowledge is preferred.
- Must be able to interpret technical documentation including blueprints and construction specifications.
Pay Range: $25/hr. - $30/hr. (depending on experience)
