What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager (CB) position at iLink Resources, Inc.?
Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, developing, scheduling, and delivering safety training programs.
- Maintain and manage safety training records and company required training.
- Help develop and administer programs that educate employees and ensure compliance with OSHA and other government agencies (Toolbox Talks, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ATMI safety programs.
- Assist in walkthrough of production plant to ensure areas are OSHA compliant.
- Provide first aid and monitor the condition of ill workers until further actions are required.
- Assist in maintaining records of accidents, injuries, and near misses to help prevent future incidents.
- Train new workers in safety procedures and perform routine inspections to ensure compliance.
- Other duties as assigned.
General Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in occupational safety, Health, or related field.
- Excellent computer skills required, proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure the safety of their coworkers and the public.
- Ability to handle multiple assignments, prioritize activities, and meet established deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.
- Ability to identify potential hazards and develop solutions to prevent accidents.
- Ability to work with others.
