Located on the banks of the of Mighty Mississippi in a nice low cost of ling area with tons of outdoor activities. We need a Wastewater Team Leader.
Position Responsibilities
Plan and schedule work force efficiently for utilization of employees.
Train, motivate and direct employees to adhere to safe work methods and standard
Control labor costs
Purchase of supplies and repair parts with regard to quality
Monitor the machinery and equipment to ensure safety of the employees
Enforce the plant's safety program.
Compliance to all OSHA safety regulations and standards
Maintaining equipment for efficient operation within maintenance budget; operating within the constraint of the union contract and USDA regulations
Involves all associates in a team concept, keeping personnel safety, food safety and uptime as the top priorities.
To manage the operation, monitor, maintain, and trouble-shoot the wastewater treatment facility and its processes.
Work involves responsibility for the technical aspects of plant operations, compliance with state and federal operating regulations, and underground sewer system.
Perform all aspects of sampling, monitoring and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal State and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process, and storm water and sludge management
Assist with the installation and inspection of new wastewater equipment and services.
Manage the installation, maintenance and repair of the physical plant and pump stations and all of their components.
Schedule and manage the operators and contractors work of regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and machinery.
Position Qualifications
Must be authorized to work in the US with out sponsorship now or in the future.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required, Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in related field preferred
3-5 years of previous experience preferred
Previous supervisory experience required
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blue prints, schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to calculate figures.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Knowledge and experience with Preventative Maintenance programs.
