Account Manager (Workers Compensation)

What You'll Do

  • Proficiently know WC Select marketplace.
  • Ability to perform all tasks assigned to WC Select Account Manager in the day-to-day marketing, servicing, and maintenance of the book of business in a timely, accurate and professional manner.
  • Monitor expiration list for WC Select accounts and execute complete renewal marketing process, 60 - 90 days out, as pre-determined, without direct supervision.
  • Request renewal information from client when needed.
  • Update AMS system with renewal payrolls, rates, etc.
  • Provide carrier with renewal information when appropriate.
  • Use discretion in the selection of new business as per department strategy.
  • Issue renewal certificates.
  • Request company changes, renewal policies, endorsements, etc.
  • Process endorsements and policies (update AMS).
  • Prepare and mail simplified quotes on larger Select accounts.
  • Maximum efficiency through use of computer automated systems to fullest extent possible. (proposals, endorsements, etc.)
  • Keep Sales Executives and Account Managers in other departments fully informed of all important activities on their accounts.
  • Keep Sales Executives informed of WC Select marketing strategies, resources and developing opportunities.
  • Provide backup to other Select Account Managers
  • Provide quality professional service to WC Select accounts to eliminate gaps in coverage, thus reducing our E&O exposure.
  • Maintain electronic files in an orderly, up-to-date manner.
  • Collect premiums per established Agency procedures as needed.
  • Keep informed on current insurance markets, market trends and industry changes. Participate in seminars and classes for skill and knowledge development.
  • Perform special projects at Director's request.
  • Oregon License required

You Should Have

  • Basic understanding of insurance
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literacy and demonstrated ability
  • Math aptitude
  • State of residency Producer's License
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) years insurance experience
