What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brand Sales Manager - HOTEL position at Image Hotels?

This position will be responsible for generating top line revenue to meet or exceed budget expectations for either Hilton or Marriott Branded multiple properties. Responsibilities include effectively soliciting existing/potential accounts and business generators to contribute to the overall revenue of the hotel. Through the use of provided tools, the ideal candidate must be able to effectively communicate with business leaders, clients and management. Must be a motivated, self-starter as well as able to take direction with a desire to contribute to the success of the property and the entire company.

This position is an “in office” position with lead generation through phone, email and web research. The position partners with the Director of Sales and Promotions who is the face of Image Hotels in the community. This position does not require an “in person” approach to sales.

Essential Functions Include:

· Achieving monthly top line revenue goals and increase the market share of the hotel.

· Developing, managing and nurturing new business partnerships and accounts to accomplish volume and profit goals.

· Communicating brand identity internally to pertinent key business collaborates, business units, and customer support.

· Regularly communicating with the Hotel Team, General Manager and Corporate Revenue Manager regarding leads, trends, rates and "need" dates.

· Maintaining focus on future booking pace from assigned accounts.

· Consistently making sales calls and regular phone calls with established and potential accounts.

· Re-negotiating future year contracts with emphasis on maximizing rates, revenue and meeting space.

· Using negotiating skills and creative selling abilities to close on business and negotiate contracts, while adhering to the established parameters and policies of the hotel.

· Promptly answering client inquiries and requests on behalf of the property

· Quickly and effectively resolving client issues.

· Consistently uncovering new needs of the property’s accounts to ensure the property is meeting all expectations.

· Gathering weekly/monthly activities and presenting to the Corporate Revenue and Sales Team and General Manager

· Staying abreast of industry and market trends and communicating to the Corporate Revenue and Sales Team and General Manager

· Working with “DOS and Promotions” in developing and cultivating positive relationships with key business leaders in the community.

· Proactively pitching promotions about the Hotel, its amenities, services, and team

· Work with the “DOS and Promotions” to positively promote the hotel through unique methods.

· Create special events to gather key influencers in the community.

· Create exciting FAM Trips with the “DOS and Promotions” for potential clients outside of the community.

· Performing other duties as requested by management.

Miscellaneous Job Duties:

· Manage time professionally and responsibly.

· Monitor industry trends in all segments with particular attention assigned segments.

· Answer email, voicemail, memos, field requests and inquiries in a timely manner per company policy.

· Work with the Corporate Revenue and Sales team on special projects as assigned.

· Provide Director of Revenue Management with weekly schedule, monthly production reports, action plans, sales trip reports, etc.

· Attend/contribute to internal and external meetings as assigned.

· Be knowledgeable, support and execute sales programs and initiatives.

· Comply with all company procedures and policies

· Represent organization professionally at all times.

Experience/Education Requirements:

· HOTEL sales experience in Hilton and/or Marriott hotels required.

· Proven ability to interact effectively with Senior Management, as well as varying levels of organization.

· Entrepreneurial attitude and a good team player.

· Strong training and presentation skills.

· Individual must be highly organized with the ability to sell product.

· Excellent negotiation and sales skills

· Able to work under pressure and close deadlines.

· Overcomes hesitations of clients to close the sale.

· Knowledge of the selling and negotiation processes.

· Knowledge of designated Savannah market a must.

· Ability to change with the needs of the company.

· Well versed in sales software.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel

COMPENSATION: Compensation based on experience. Bonus plan available for successful attainment of specified goals.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 5 years sales experience required. Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively and professionally with other business departments, guests, and vendors. Ability to diplomatically deal with difficult situations and people, while exhibiting a consistent level of professionalism.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, or telephone. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-25 pounds and rarely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
