This position requires the ability to (this is not a complete job description)
work safely in a fast-paced production environment
troubleshoot electrical breakdowns and determine best solution to repair
maintain machine and equipment service records
maintain the lighting and building electrical systems
install new machinery, remove old machinery, and move existing machinery
perform routine processes to ensure most efficient operation of the machinery and equipment
read and understand technical operating, service, or repair manuals
meet or exceed company quality standards
maintain regular and predictable attendance
comply with company processes and procedures
follow verbal and written instructions
stand, walk, lift, bend, stoop, and reach while handling material or products
work cooperatively, courteously, and respectfully with all team members, vendors, and visitors
perform job duties in variable temperatures based on weather conditions (including hot weather)
ensure good housekeeping of all areas on company premises
successfully complete drug and background screening
· Observe equipment in operation to detect potential problems.
· Communicate with coworkers to coordinate installations or repairs.
· Inspect mechanical equipment to locate damage, defects, or wear.
· Read work orders or descriptions of problems to determine repairs or modifications needed.
· Reassemble equipment after repair.
· Test mechanical equipment to ensure proper functioning.
· Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.
· Confer with coworkers to resolve equipment problems.
· Install machine or equipment replacement parts.
· Maintain inventories of materials, equipment, or products.
· Order materials, supplies, or equipment.
· Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.
· Maintain repair or maintenance records.
· Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.
· Clean work areas.
· Clean equipment, parts, or tools to repair or maintain them in good working order.
· Operate cranes, hoists, or other moving or lifting equipment.
· Repair worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
· Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts.
· Prepare compounds or solutions to be used for repairs.
· Test fluids to identify contamination or other problems.

Requirements
High School Diploma, or equivalent. Some post-secondary education preferred (Technical or Vocational education)
3-5 years related experience, preferably in a manufacturing/production environment.
Strong analytical/troubleshooting skills.
Completion of a recognized vocational education program in electrical or industrial electrical or industrial training –OR- completion of a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship Program and three out of the last five years’ journey-level experience as an electrician in the industrial maintenance field preferred.
