IMCD US
currently has an opening for a Supply Chain Logistics Supervisor who will
support a team of Logistics Analysts overseeing domestic and international
shipping and the movement of material throughout our US distribution network. This
role supports the overall strategy, metrics, and processes to deploy an
optimized logistics network and operations. This role is based in our Corporate
Headquarters in Westlake, Ohio.

The Logistics
Supervisor will play a key role in the overall performance of our Logistics organization.
This role will actively manage and coordinate the daily Logistics activities
and escalations for principal and commercial support such as shipping,
receiving, and inventory control. Will be responsible for maintaining and improving
logistics reliability and carrier on time performance. Will support company
goals including on-time delivery and monthly revenue targets. The role will act
as a direct manager and coach to our Logistics support team ensuring support
for our internal commercial team which interfaces with our external Principal
and Customer community. Reporting directly to the National Warehouse &
Logistics Manager for the IMCD US organization.

This role is a hands-on role that both
owns and performs the work required to support our Logistics Team and broader
organization. Critical in executing our strategic growth plan, providing high
touch internal customer support, and supporting end-to-end Supply Chain
functional excellence and process improvement, this role presents a unique
opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded
skill set. The ideal candidate will have experience improving logistics
performance combined with strong analytical and statistical capabilities to look
for trends and opportunities for improvement. The ability to use data to track
orders and shipments, sales trends, demand and any weaknesses and
inefficiencies is also an important essential function of this role. The soft
skills to negotiate and build relationships with suppliers, customers, and team
members, as well as having attention to detail to understand the business and
the environment in which it operates, is imperative for the right candidate.
The role entails cross-functional collaboration, solution-oriented focus, and
an affinity for analytics, while having a strength in execution.
Skills:
Successful candidates will be responsible
to:
Work directly with the National Warehouse &
Logistics Manager and the National Supply Chain Manager on quarterly and
annual initiatives to improve logistics performance.
Analyze current logistics network and
partnerships to identify areas for consolidation and optimization to
improve network effectiveness and performance.
Develop clear project plans and timelines, lead teams to complete projects on time and delegate effectively to ensure tasks are addressed.
Continuously improve processes through the
implementation of tools and techniques that measure and deliver quality,
cost, and service gains.
Plan, manage, schedule, and execute activities
pertaining to daily shipments from all Principals and warehouses to meet
on time deliveries.
Coordinate activities related to material
transfers between Principals and warehouses.
Needs Action Language that drives a deliverable on
customer requirements and customer service within all areas of
responsibility to meet and exceed customer’s expectations.
Develop individualized development plans for direct reports to promote growth.
Conduct effective quarterly performance reviews with direct reports and addresses personnel issues, as needed, by utilizing written warning and PIP process.
Provides ongoing coaching and development of team members and coordinate training for new hires and for continuing advancement of current staff.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business)
Five years of Distribution, Operations or Logistics experience.
Prior experience leading and coaching a team.
Strong PC skills in word processing, spreadsheet analysis; MRP planning and scheduling.
Strong organizational, communication and time management skills to deal with both internal and external customers.
Ability to perform detailed analyses and problem solving.
Deadline-driven, detail
oriented, conscientious, and able to multitask.
Communicate effectively with a
variety of contacts, including senior management.
Proficient with Microsoft
Office suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Able to identify, analyze and
solve relevant business problems in a timely manner.
Able to operate effectively in
a fast-paced work environment, manage competing demands and deal with
potential changes, delays, or unexpected events.
Able to operate with a high
degree of autonomy and, at the same time, comfortable following
instructions, respond to management direction and solicit feedback to
improve performance.
Able to read and write the
English language sufficiently to understand, articulate and create
effective and error free instructions and communications.
Flexible to work an occasional
evening or weekend.
Authorized to work in the U.S.
without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s Degree in supply chain or operations management.
ASCM CSCP, CLTD, or CPIM Certification.
Lean or Six Sigma experience.
Experience in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and urgent issues resulting in quick decision making.

Supervisory Responsibility:
This
position has supervisory responsibility.
This job
currently operates on a hybrid schedule rotating between in-office and remote
work environments. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Must possess
the ability to work with constant change, constant pressure to deliver on time
and changing priorities, short deadlines and situational conflicts pertaining
to job requirements. Positions requires movement throughout facilities for up
to eight hours daily, ability to travel if called upon (less than 15%),
exposure to various climates and environmental conditions such as rain, heat,
cold weather although generally in an indoor climate-controlled environment.
Employee will work with multiple tasks at all times and may sit at a desk for
periods of time working on computers. There may be some exposure to loud noises
from time to time. The individual must be willing to work overtime, weekends
and some nights as needed and may be asked to attend meetings before and after
normal hours, sometimes out of town and some evening meetings.
This is a
full-time position, and the hours of work and days are Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., unless otherwise directed. Additional hours may be
required as needed.
Some travel
is expected for this position up to 5%.
