Job Summary
Job Title: Mill Operator
Department: Production
Summary of Job: Set up, operate, and tend milling machines.
Level of the Job: Reports to Production Supervisor
Essential Job Functions
- Moves controls to set specifications and start machine.
- Observes machine operation and adjusts controls to ensure conformance with specified tolerances.
- Studies blueprint, layout, sketch, or other specifications to determine materials needed, sequence of operations, dimensions, and tooling instructions.
- Records production output.
- Makes adjustmnets to the mill systems based on test results with an emphasis on moisture and grind.
- Mill maintainance such as greesing.
- Dumping hoppers
- Clean up
- Mill Maintenance
