Job title: Material Handler
Location: Grand Prairie, TX
Duration: 02 months on w2
Timing: Monday- Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Job description:
As a Material Handler, you will be a critical part of the production team, ensuring that all equipment and machinery are performing at top-notch! Your work will directly affect people's lives!
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing inbound deliveries
- Verifying MRP system matches packing slips.
- Completing operations within the MRP system.
- Label material utilizing the scanner program.
- Working with Quality Assurance according to established business processes.
- Stocking material once it clears QA inspection.
- Complete material requisitions in support of production departments.
- Completed daily cycle count sheets (counting, simple reporting)
- Assist with daily runs between site locations (nearby in company truck)
- Complete shipping activities:
- Issue shipping documentation from the MRP system.
- Pull the completed product as indicated on the shipping documentation.
- Process shipments by use of web-based parcel carriers' sites (UPS/FedEx) or LTL freight carriers (R&L, FedEx Frt, etc.)
- Process advanced ship notices utilizing web-based customer portals.
- Work with MRO providers to keep Just In Time material stocked as needed.
- Other duties on the production floor assigned by the Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Able to use a computer in a web-based environment.
- Knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis
- Powered Industrial Truck (forklift/tug/power pallet jack) experience a plus. Will train.
- Able to work occasional overtime and Saturdays.
- Clear driving record.
