Under general direction of the Check and ACH Supervisor, this position will exercise independent judgement in the daily responsibilities of providing guidance to the Operations Support team as well as providing operational support to the financial centers and management.Responsibilities:
Ensure quality assurance of customer data by performing daily check-back
Document and maintain up-to-date procedures on all daily, monthly, and yearly responsibilities.
Prepare weekly and/or monthly activity and exception processing reports.
Provide support to Checks & ACH Services group
Process, send, and receive adjustments with various correspondents.
Process research request for branches upon request.
Process daily Branch Capture Corrections
Determine new/revised work techniques and process improvements
Other job related duties as assigned
Serve as point of escalation and subject matter expert to assist Operations Support team in providing timely and accurate answers to retail staff when questions or issues arise. Know when to involve direct Supervisor/Manager
Train new team members and maintain written policies
Maintain written policies, procedures and job aides
Familiarize new employees with written policies and procedures for the department
Have new employee sit and watch daily, weekly, monthly, annual tasks performed by team
Allow new employee to work through the processes at their pace from start to finish, making suggestions as they work
Check all new employees work to ensure accuracy
Provide necessary feedback and guidance to promote quality and maximum efficiencies in process
Qualifications:
Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent education certificate (GED) required AND
Minimum of 7 years of banking experience in a deposit operations support role
OR
Bachelor's degree AND
Minimum of 4 years of banking experience in a deposit operations support role
Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
Detailed knowledge of related state and federal banking compliance regulations and bank operational policies and procedures
Problem solving skills, task organization skills and a high level of initiative
Excellent decision-making, problem solving and ability to multi -task in a fast pace and demanding environment
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (e.g. create new documents, edit existing files, create tables, sort/filter data, print documents, generate new records, email and calendaring)
Strong customer service skills
Strong communication skills both written and verbal with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and external contacts/customers
Ability to perform all daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements
Demonstrate a general level of knowledge of Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC related responsibilities in the performance of daily operations to ensure adherence to bank policies and compliance with all regulatory requirements
