Essential Job Functions:
The incumbent must be able to consistently perform the following duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation.

- Consistently communicate our commitment to holistic pet wellness
- Provide guests with an exceptional experience
- Overall management of store operations
- Share product knowledge and suggestions to fit customer needs and promote pet health
- Perform front-end duties such as handling the cash register, bagging, replenishing merchandise, and preparing displays
- Coach and lead Team Members to provide an exceptional guest experience and achieve sales goals
- Oversee all aspects of inventory such as merchandise replenishment, inventory, adjustments, weekly cycle counts, store transfers, RTVs, and shipment processing
- Organize special store events and promotions in store
- Positively interact with pet parents in person, via email, text, and phone
- All other assigned duties from the Store Manager and/or any member of the Retail Leadership Team
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Passion for extraordinary customer service and the well-being of pets
- At least 2 years of previous retail sales experience
- At least 1 year of retail managerial experience
- Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, which will require evening and weekend shifts
- Time management and organizational skills
- Proven written and verbal communication skills
Physical Requirements:
- Position requires person to be both indoors and outdoors (to assist with customer carry out)
- Majority of day is spent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Must be comfortable working with a wide variety of animals including small and large dogs
- Must be able to work around pet hair and dander
