Qualifications :
- High school graduate (or equivalency).
- Previous experience with production printers and bindery equipment / operations.
- Ability to prioritize jobs, problem-solve and work without direct supervision.
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to safely lift and carry 40-50 lbs. and able to stand for long periods.
- Possess a positive attitude and good customer service skills.
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency working with a culturally, ethnically, racially and socioeconomically diverse school community is preferred .
Responsibilities :
- Setup and operate the following equipment : Production printer, stand-alone collator / fold / stitch / trim unit, laminator, commercial folding equipment, comb-binding & spiral-binding equipment, power paper cutter and commercial drill.
- Key operator of black / white production printer and print driver.
- Assists in the development of schedules and deadlines.
- Prioritizes a variety of jobs with multiple deadlines.
- Work cooperatively with graphics / print shop personnel to perform duties related to printing, copying, bindery and other aspects of the printing area for completion of customer / staff work orders and various other print room tasks.
- Use knowledge of job equipment to complete customer orders in the fastest and most economical way.
- Help customers with decision-making in area of paper selection and other finishing options.
- Maintain all supplies for the production print devices, including paper, as well as all supplies for bindery equipment.
- Other duties as assigned.
