New-to-District Classified employees may be eligible to receive credit for up to two years’ worth of credit for movement (steps) on the Classified Salary Schedule based on relevant prior work experience. Please complete the top portion of this form and provide it to your previous employer for completion. To qualify, newly hired employees must provide this form, completed by your former employer(s), to Human Resources no later than the date of their fingerprinting and appointment.
- Transferring employees or former District employees hired into this role will be placed on the "H" letter grade of the Classified Salary Schedule, but the initial step placement will vary based on a variety of factors.

For positions that qualify, the District offers a benefit package that is valued at more than $10,000 annually. Benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance and Public Employees’ Retirement System (PERSI) and are provided to Classified employees who work at least half time (20 hours per week) or more in a regular position and to Certified employees with a .50 FTE or greater contract.

- Preferred Education BA/BS Degree; Continued education in child development or social services field preferred.
- Prepare, maintain, and preset required report, records, and documentation.
- Possession of a valid Idaho driver’s license or the ability to travel from place to place, depending on assignment.
- Graduation from high school, 48 college credit hours, OR Associates degree or higher (transcripts or copy of degree will be required upon hire), OR successful completion of the ETS Paraprofessional Praxis Exam (this exam may be taken after offer of employment has been extended, however, must be successfully completed prior to beginning employment).
Experience working with individuals with challenging behaviors in a classroom is preferred;
The incumbent provides one-to-one support and intervention for students with continuing emotional and/or behavioral problems. Student needs vary significantly, ranging from severe behavioral issues and/or learning difficulties to students with developmental needs, including self-help and impaired social and cognitive functioning. The incumbent may serve as a rover between schools or may be assigned to a specific building. Under the direction of the supervision of a supervising teacher, special education teacher, principal and/or school psychologist. The incumbent will provide systematically collected data on student performance and behavior to supervising teacher. Provide academic support to teachers and students which may include attending classes, taking notes on assignments, completing schoolwork, studying for exams and completing tests.
