Program Manager

A Technical Program Manager (TPM) is a role
responsible for managing and driving the successful execution of complex
technical projects or programs within an organization. TPMs typically work in
technology-focused companies, such as software development firms, hardware
manufacturers, or IT departments of large corporations. Their primary objective
is to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the
desired quality standards.
Skills Required:
• Undergraduate degree in business administration
or related field
• Stakeholder management skills in large complex project/program with Internal
and external teams.
• 8 years of program/project management and 4 in Healthcare Payer with
Business and IT Solutions one or more domains (Branding, Enrollment & Eligibility, Claims Pricing, Administration,
Payments, Self-service Portals, Medical management, Finance, Contracting)
• Responsible for planning, directing, and
coordinating the appropriate lifecycle phases for complex product / program
implementation and support large program / or multiple projects concurrently in
the healthcare payer space
• Documents project objectives, scope and
ensures they meet expected business results/outcome.
• Drives the development and execution of
project/program plan by working with project team to define, sequence, and
estimate duration of activities and determine schedules to meet project objectives
• Creates project schedules including
resource tracking, assignments, tasks, dependencies, deliverables and
milestones, due dates, predecessors, budget and financial tracking, issues
management.
• Defines and implements program/project
management standards and processes
• Accountable for ensuring that
deliverables from business and technology partners are produced and approved
according to multiple project schedules. This includes requirement, functional
and technical design documents, test plans, etc.
• Proactively identifies and manages
project risks and dependencies and raises awareness around projects across the
portfolio.
• Assembles steering committee(s) and
communicates regularly and effectively with management on project progress.
• Responsible for ensuring timely,
accurate, and clear communication is provided to all project stakeholders
including senior management
• Serves as single point of contact for
all program management related questions and refers technical/business
questions to appropriate subject matter experts.
• Work closely with executive sponsor,
clients, cross-functional teams, and assigned project stakeholders to plan and
develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing
for new initiatives
• Identify key requirements needed from
cross-functional teams and external vendors
• Proactively manage risks, issues and
decisions and works with them to prioritize
• Provides project status, risks, issues,
and makes recommendations on decisions to PMO and Senior Management.
• Develop and manage budget for projects
and be accountable for delivering against established business goals/objectives
• Work with other program managers to
identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects within the department
• Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program
risks, and produce program reports for management and stakeholders
• Establish and nurture strong client and
business partner relationships
• Develop and maintain trusted, long-term
client relationships
• Mentors project managers and project
coordinators on the delivery functions
• Contribute to key internal initiatives
to drive efficiencies and best practices for delivery
