**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in tax preparation, financial analysis, technical accounting, general bookkeeping, reconciliations. Experience with payroll, double entry bookkeeping, budgeting, and financial auditing, Excel is highly desirable. Yardi experience is a plus.
**Responsibilities:**
- Prepare and examine financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations
- Analyze financial information to recommend or develop efficient use of resources and procedures
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting activities including reconciliations of bank accounts, coordination and completion of annual audits, and reviewing financial reports/support as necessary
- Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies
- Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness
- Prepare documentation for external auditors
**Experience:**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance helpful, not necessary
- Proven work experience as an Accountant or similar role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and accounting software
- Excellent analytical skills with a detail-oriented approach
