Title: Registered Nurse - MS/Tele - Night Shift

Location: Winston-Salem, NC 27103

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Job Duration: 13 weeks

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse with experience in MS/Tele for our 2nd GI - Electronic unit . The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year of experience, including 1 year of traveler experience, as this unit demands a high level of expertise due to its complexity.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• Traveler experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered.
• Proficiency in IV start.
• BCLS certification.

Preferred Skills:

• Telemetry experience preferred.

Job Details:

• Target Ratio: 1:6 (flexible to 1:7 during high-demand periods).
• 12-hour night shifts with block scheduling available.
• Floating to other med/surg units/floors as needed.
• Weekend rotation required every other weekend.

Patient Diagnoses:

• Our patient population includes those with GI conditions, blood loss/anemia related to the GI tract, infections, renal issues, post-GI surgery, and cardiac monitoring needs.

Special Procedures/Unit Details:

• Fast-paced environment with approximately one-third bed turnover daily.
• Utilization of PYXIS, EPIC, and SBAR systems.
• Comprehensive unit orientation provided (36 hours).

Uniform:

• Scrubs in navy and/or white.

Internal Notes:

• Candidates must pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.
