DCS is an employee-owned company focused on providing engineering, programmatic, and technical support services to the Department of Defense and other national security customers. Our Joint Systems Division is seeking a Business Communications Intern to help develop business campaigns targeted to our customers and key stakeholders.
Essential Functions:
Be a storyteller with the ability to draft creative press releases, website content, marketing brochures, and social media campaigns.
Prepare marketing presentations and proposals based on company needs.
Develop tools and methods for collecting data such as surveys, questionnaires, or opinion polls.
Create a social media plan to showcase key business initiatives.
Research keywords and hashtag trends.
Recommend new way to engage - be ready to pitch your ideas!
Work collaboratively with a highly motivated, super creative team.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
A passion for understanding our business and audience.
A research mind: You seek out and research business and social media trends.
The ability to quickly learn and process information.
Excellent organization and time management skills.
Motivation: You craft samples and pitches when the idea strikes and bring them to the team to get their thoughts.
The ability to navigate collaborative social media platforms and tools.
Work: 4 -10 hours/week Monday to Friday.
