Job Title: Lab Technician
Pay Rate: $22/Hr.
Duration: 12 Months
Location: Rocky Hill, CT

Our client is a global industrial and consumer products manufacturer.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence: Dispensing adhesives, Bonding parts, Testing bond strength & physical properties - collecting, recording, and evaluating data.
• Participate in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook—computer data entry including charts and tables for communication of project results and details.
• Operate laboratory equipment and measuring devices.
• The candidate will be expected to follow safety protocols and lab best practices while working with chemicals and lab equipment with guidance.
• With guidance, the candidate will be expected to follow quality protocols according to SOPs and ISO 17025:2017.
• The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day and the ability to lift at least fifty pounds.

Qualifications:

• The candidate shall possess academic and or industrial laboratory experience.
• The candidate should be a fast learner, a team player, and have good note-taking and communication skills.
• The position involves repetitive movements with hands, attention to detail, handling adhesives and other chemicals, and being safety conscious.
• Mechanical aptitude is needed for report writing skills and Microsoft Suite experience.
• Other attributes will include proficiency in project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Salary: $21.50 - $22.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
