Job Title: Lab Technician
Pay Rate: $21.25 to $25/Hr.
Duration: 10 Months
Location: Rocky Hill, CT
Responsibilities:
- The candidate will be expected to perform the following functions with a high level of initiative and independence: Dispensing adhesives, Bonding parts, Testing bond strength & physical properties - collecting, recording, and evaluating data.
- Participate in organizing and performing experiments using established procedures while summarizing and reporting results in a laboratory notebook—computer data entry including charts and tables for communication of project results and details.
- Operate laboratory equipment and measuring devices.
- The candidate will be expected to follow safety protocols and lab best practices while working with chemicals and lab equipment with guidance.
- With guidance, the candidate will be expected to follow quality protocols according to SOPs and ISO 17025:2017.
- The ability to stand while working in the laboratory throughout most of the day and the ability to lift at least fifty pounds.
Qualifications:
- The candidate shall possess academic and or industrial laboratory experience.
- The candidate should be a fast learner, a team player, and have good note-taking and communication skills.
- The position involves repetitive movements with hands, attention to detail, handling adhesives and other chemicals, and being safety conscious.
- Mechanical aptitude is needed for report writing skills and Microsoft Suite experience.
- Other attributes will include proficiency in project management, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Job Type: Contract
Salary: $21.25 - $25.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
