What are the responsibilities and job description for the Oracle Apps DBA position at Infosys?
Infosys is seeking an Application DBA for Oracle Database and the position will primarily be responsible interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, HLD & LLD and DB Administration. You will play an important role in creating the high-level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
- Candidate can be located anywhere in the US however, prefer if the candidate is located within commuting distance of Richardson/Irving (TX), Basking Ridge/ Piscataway (NJ), Raleigh, NC or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US and Canada.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education
- At least 4 years of experience with Information Technology. Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse, mart development and admin tasks.
- 3 years hands on experience in Application DBA for Oracle Database with strong performance tuning background on different oracle versions(10g/11g/12c/19c), Solution design and documentation.
- 2 years of work experience in tuning complex SQL queries with complex subqueries within it.
- 2 years working knowledge on real time session performance monitoring, experience in different partitioning techniques of tables, indexes.
- 2 years of experience in performance analysis using AWR, Wait events, IO, CPU. Experience in analyzing explain plans, execution plans and implementing SQL Plan baselines.
- Experience with Lean / Agile development methodologies.
- U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency required, we are not able to sponsor at this time
- Good experience in end-to-end implementation of DW BI projects, especially in data warehouse and mart developments
- Good understanding of Data integration, Data Quality and data architecture
- Experience in Telecom domain
- Experience with Oracle Exadata environment
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in diverse/ multiple stakeholder teams/environment
