Financial Controller

• Responsible for assisting the Director of Finance in overseeing all financial and reporting functions for the unit including monthly financial statements, annual budget, forecasts, account reconciliations, and special review and analysis as requested.
• Manages the Accountant who oversees with the Controller and manages the Analyst who assists at month-end as well as prepares the annual budget, forecasts, corporate reporting and special analysis.
• Coordinates financial reporting on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to department heads as well as corporate accounting.
• Assists with external and internal audits and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Coordinates and creates annual budget with the Analyst.
• Ensures company has adequate internal controls to produce reliable and accurate financial statements.
• Recommends and develops policies, procedures and systems to meet company objectives.

• Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others.

• Strategy and planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over a 1-2-year time span.
• Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.
• Technical skills and experience in financial reporting and analysis as well as technical accounting.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
