The IT Support Specialist will be responsible for providing stable, secure access to the network, servers, printers and PC workstations across this Gallatin, TN facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide onsite support for Gallatin, TN plant and its remote users
- Manage day-to-day activities of the IT Helpdesk
- Provide user support for hardware and software usage issues
- Install, move and maintain PC workstations, printers and common HW devices located in plant
- Manage corporate security/patching tools via Rapid-7, Cylance and N-Able tool platforms
- Support digital signage, including content management used throughout the facility
- Telephone system support for adds/ changes when required
- Network hardware installation and administration (when required by network team)
Required Qualifications
Skills and abilities:
- Understanding of the Microsoft Server environment including domain support, networking, file server management and printing
- Ability to learn new software applications and apply in real-world situations
- Experience with Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP and DNS
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite, Teams and O365
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to think and work independently and problem solve
- Experience with the IBM iSeries platform a plus
- Must be detail oriented, customer service driven and have good organizational skills
- Ability to thrive in an extremely fast paced environment
- Provide personal service using interpersonal skills of the highest caliber and unravel technical issues until a complete and permanent resolution is found
- Continually look for ways to streamline and automate business processes through IT tools
- Ability to train users on computer hardware/software and other office equipment to increase their productivity
- Ability to work overtime, weekend and after hours along with an on-call rotation if/when required
Education and Experience:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in IT or an IT related field
- 1-2 years experience
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
