Job Description
Ingram Content Group (ICG) is hiring for an Inventory Systems Manager to contribute to our Product Merchandising team in LaVergne, TN just outside Nashville. The Inventory Systems Manager manages use of inventory management systems including RELEX and legacy systems. The manager assesses and analyzes the needs of Product Merchandising staff, providing recommendations for systems and usage, implements solutions, and develops or acquires appropriate training and documentation. In this position, you will partner with Finance and Operations to design, test, and execute IBG’s annual inventory plans. Additionally, the Product Systems Manager partners with software vendors to resolve defects and obtain product enhancements while ensuring that Product Merchandising staff has access to and knowledge of appropriate tools to work efficiently and effectively and achieve corporate inventory management goals.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Arts or Sciences or business degree
- 2 - 5 years in Purchasing or Inventory Management or equivalent knowledge and experience working within the book industry required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manages and implements current and future projects relating to upgrades of inventory management and forecasting systems including RELEX and legacy systems. Provides recommendations for future systems purchase, upgrade, and usage.
- Translates business requirements into effective functional requirements documents for internal and 3rd party IT developers.
- Participates in the development of the department’s strategic goals and direction; set aggressive and relevant goals for the development of these functions.
- Identifies training needs and opportunities, and provide, coordinate, or otherwise arrange for appropriate training and documentation for Product Merchandising and related staff on all inventory management software and systems in common use.
- Assesses and analyzes Product Management structure and needs, and apply available tools to ensure an efficient, supportive, and user-friendly environment to non-technical users.
- Provides user support in resolving day-to-day system-related issues, acting as liaison between Product Merchandising, IT support groups, and 3rd party software providers.
