Proposal Coordinator

INIT Innovations in Transportation, Inc. is an established and industry-leading provider of advanced management systems for public transit.  This position is responsible for working closely with the international sales team to provide pre-sales support.  The position is based out of our North American headquarters (Hybrid) in Chesapeake, VA.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Prepare proposal response structure and drafts for completion by Subject Matter Experts
• Work closely with the Proposal Managers and Proposal Team to coordinate the proposal responses
• Complete assigned proposal documents and other proposal related tasks
• Lead DBE (Disadvantaged Business Enterprises) Outreach Efforts
• Administrate FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) Requests
• Administrate NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreements) Agreements with subcontractors
• Update Sales Lists and Standard Documents
• Handle Spare Parts price requests and process orders

Qualifications:

• Detail oriented with superb organizational skills
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent work ethic and self-starter
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Coordinate multiple simultaneous projects and meet critical deadlines
• Effectively collaborate with multi-department teams to meet goals

Experience:

• 1-3 years of technical sales or sales support
• Bachelor degree in a technical or business discipline preferred
• Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word
• Familiarity with government agencies and the RFP selling cycle a plus
• Knowledge of the public transit industry ideal
