Position Title: Human Resource Generalist
Location:Moscow, ID
Pay Range: $45-50 K

Reports to: Business Process Manager
Status: Exempt Salary
Overview
This is a key position that reports to the Business Process Manager. As a member of the business support team, you will advise and recommend improvements to existing processes while being responsible for implementation of processes, procedures, and initiatives adopted by INW. This role has oversight and is responsible for: Recruiting, onboarding, policy interpretation and enforcement, reporting of information, employee and labor relations and benefits administration along with organization of a variety of Human Resource programs and providing professional level work and assistance to such programs.

Main Responsibilities
- Assure employee safety
- Prepares personnel files and maintain personnel records in accordance with facility and corporate personnel policies and guidelines
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions
- Organize and conduct orientation and on-boarding processes for all newly hired employees
- Assist with the development and implementation of employee engagement programs and activities
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing to help select applicants
- Reviews employee changes and terminations and exercises care that reasons are well documented
- Operate and Maintain Pre-employment and random drug testing program
- Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages and opportunities for promotion and employee benefits
- Perform difficult duties, including dealing with understaffing, refereeing disputes and helping to administer disciplinary procedures
- Conducts HR investigations
- Serve as a link between leadership and employees by handling questions and helping to resolve work-related problems
- Manages a compensation plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and sending out job evaluations; preparing compensation budgets; and recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions
- Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; and counseling employees and supervisors
- Implements employee benefits programs including Health and Retirement and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to the Leadership Team; directing the processing of benefit claims; and designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs
- Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations and maintaining records
- Supports and participates in common teamwork
- Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment
- Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations
- Reports complaints, problems and concerns regarding co-workers in accordance with company policy
- Agrees to comply with and uphold the Code of Conduct

Required Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Minimum 3-5 years of prior experience in human resources
- Familiarity with State and Federal compliance with HR laws
- Writing proficiency
- Organized and professional demeanor
- Ability to navigate complexity of a family owned business
- Adept at use of Google software suite
- Ability to define performance standards
- Maintaining professional standards reflective of INW values
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
