ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned by the Food & Beverage Supervisor, Food & Beverage Manager, Food & Beverage Executive, or General Manager.
Guest Services: 90%
- Greet guests in a timely, outgoing, and friendly manner
- Take food and drink orders from restaurant customers
- Accommodate special needs and requests from guests and staff members
- Remain attentive to the customer throughout the entire dining experience, adhering to and exceeding service standards
- Receives proper payment from guest and ensures accuracy of guest check and method of payment in order to safeguard customer and company
- Maintains a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times
- Responds to customer inquiries and comments in person and on telephone by providing timely and knowledgeable information
Administrative Tasks: 10%
- Complete all restocking and cleaning duties by performing opening and closing side work as instructed
- Memorizes menu items, recipes, and daily specials in order to answer questions and make recommendation to customers
- Maintains cleanliness standards in restaurant and kitchen service area in order to have a clean, presentable, and attractive facility
- Controls allocated guest checks and legibly documenting all required information as the customer’s order is taken and processed
- Attends all pre-meal and departmental meetings in person to enhance communications and gain knowledge of products, service, and facility
- Presents a clean and professional appearance at all times
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS: each essential duty satisfactorily. skill, and/or ability required.

- Must be able to pass a background check

- Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos

- Must be able to clearly communicate in a polite manner while on the telephone and in person
- Must be able to work independently and in a team setting
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: High school diploma or equivalent.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing the duties of this job, the person must be able to move about inside the kitchen and to access different kitchen items, meals, and equipment. Frequently moves large trays and several plated meals with precision. This is a fast-paced position.
WORK SCHEDULE: Work a full time or part time varied schedule including days, nights, weekdays, and weekends as assigned by department Supervisor or Manager.
