Role and Responsibilities

If you have an eye for detail and like to work with small items, then consider a career with us as a Production Assembler. This position does not require prior experience. We will provide you with all the training, knowledge and experience you need to be successful.
Reporting to the Production Supervisor in our Fish Tracking division, the Production Assembler will:
- Work with an established production team to build acoustic transmitters and receivers
- Assemble miniature electronics and small mechanical parts
- Work under a microscope, with a steady hand and an eye for detail
- Learn build processes for multiple products and stations. Assignments change frequently.
- Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement projects
- Ensure production standards, quality, and safety are maintained at every step
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Required Skills and Experience
- Ability to maintain a high level of productivity without compromising quality standards
- Excellent teamwork skills – you will need to rely on the knowledge and expertise of many of your co-workers
- Excellent organizational skills – you will be required to juggle many high priority issues in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills
- Adaptable to change – you will need to keep learning as we continuously improve our production processes
Education
- College or equivalent experience and capability
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proficient with Windows operating system
- Basic computing skills: Email and file/folder navigation
- Familiarity with hand tools such as impact drivers and soldering irons
- Experience with scientific tools such as microscopes and oscilloscopes is an asset
