What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intermediate Network Developer –Network Automation position at Innovative Management & Technology Services?

Shift/Work Hours: Must work an 8-hour shift and cover the core duty hours between 8-330 CST (with 30 min lunch) and hours are subject to change at the customer’s request.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Act as technical lead. For all tasks assignments and performance within scope of the task/functional area, responsible for start to finish management of their staff's performance to ensure customer requirements are fulfilled. Provide task status or progress updates as requested. Provide Monthly Status Report (MSRs) that capture accomplishments over the past month and planned objectives for the next month, issues or risks, deliverable updates, mandatory training updates, faces and spaces updates, vacancy reporting and updates to Government Furnished Equipment for personnel. Ensure all new employees assigned to the task receive familiarization training on customer Data Center network architecture and stay abreast of technical developments with Industry and Government.
- Operates and sustains the Ecosystem's communications infrastructure, including the strategic direction of the infrastructure, standardizing the infrastructure, and enabling the Ecosystem to take advantage of network automation and emerging technologies.
- Lifecycle Support. Provide hardware and software lifecycle management tracking, manpower, defining shared infrastructure design standards, capacity services, code evaluation for feature enhancements, cost container, definition of common services, and project management for the customer.
- Maintenance and Documentation. Develop, document, and maintain all automation efforts across DISA locations.
- Installation and Verification. Provide an automated solution that drives efficient change, automation, and configuration and provides security administration, and compliance across the network domain.
- Configuration Management. Assist in providing solutions that reduce costs and human error associated with manual tasks and change by automating those tasks.
- Automated Workflows. Develop automated workflows that shall be run on an ad hoc and/or scheduled basis. These workflows shall be developed as templates based on internal customer or external organizational requirements as they are requested on the automation request site. Ensure the workflows are configured properly to provide infrastructure capacity and performance management for forecasting and planning on future requirements.
- Custom Scripts. Develop and maintain custom scripts that shall be used outside of automation tools when it is determined to be more efficient and less resource intensive.
- Apply analytical and systematic approaches to resolve workflow, organization, and planning problems
- Deliverables. Be responsible for meeting all deliverable creation, quality, and due dates.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Secret clearance
- Have an IT Bachelor’s Degree OR have and maintain a Professional level Vendor Network Certification (e.g. CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, JNCIE, etc)
- Have one of the following DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II certifications:
- CCNA Security – Cisco Certified Network Associate
- CSA – CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst
- GICSP – Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional
- GSEC – GIAC Security Essentials
- Security CE
- SSCP – Systems Security Certified Practitioner
- Obtain and maintain a DoD 8570.01 Computing Environment (CE) certification within six months of being staffed into an employment position. The CE certification shall be based on the equipment and software the employee works with for their primary duties.
- Have Four (4 ) years of experience in network automation and orchestration in developing and maintaining adhoc, custom, and scheduled scripts, reports, policies, and workflows.
- Can demonstrate a good understanding and knowledge of the following skills and methods:
(1) Knowledge of languages such as HTML, XML, VBA, YAML
(2) Understanding of DevOps lifecycles and CI/CD pipelines
(3) Experience writing production grade code in a modern programming language
(4) Ability to work independently and have experience to manage and complete projects
- Can demonstrate understanding and knowledge of the following skills and methods:
(1) SharePoint and databases development
(2) REST API implementation
(3) Optimize jobs or application for maximum efficiency
(4) Ability to identify manual tasks and convert them to automated tasks
