What are the responsibilities and job description for the Counselor position at Innovo Detox?
This position will work at Innovo Detox which is located in Abbottstown, PA.
Counselors will provide professional therapy to patients and their families in order to maintain or restore highest level functioning. Counselors will provide general or specialized substance abuse counseling services as needed. This position will work in conjunction with the Clinical Supervisor to create therapeutic intervention and philosophy for caseload. Counselors will perform patient record review to ensure records are compliant with state and federal regulations. Counselors will maintain a caseload of patients and are responsible for case management and collaborating with other providers to provide the patient with the best care possible. Counselors will provide individual and group counseling under the direction of the Clinical Supervisor.
Counselors will conduct initial assessments of all new patients and identify factors that may interfere with the patient obtaining the maximum benefits from treatment. This position will develop and implement patient treatment plans, record progress notes and assist with determining the appropriate level of continued care for the patient. Counselors will participate in monitoring and evaluating the quality and appropriateness of patient care. Counselors will participate on the interdisciplinary treatment team and prepare reports concerning patients.
Current State Licensure required. Some examples include CADC, CAADC, LPC, LSW, LCSW
