What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse Oncology Schar clinic position at Inova Health System?
The Inova Schar Cancer Institute is a state-of-the-art cancer center in the Washington, DC metro area designed to bring healing and hope to every patient. The Skyline Clinic, which is located within the newly built Inova Schar Cancer Institute, is an outpatient physician clinic whose team members work closely and expertly with our oncologists/hematologists and advanced practitioners to serve patients with benign and malignant hematologic conditions. The clinic is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The clinics are closed for the seven recognized Inova holidays and there are no on-call requirements. Our team members work five 8 hour shifts.
Requirements
At least six months of Registered Nurse clinical experience in the acute care setting.
BSN or AD
If RN has an AD, within 6 months of start date the RN must meet with their nurse leader and
* Identify which Accredited School the employee plans to attend
* Submit a review of transcript from the school indicating the required pre-requisites and timeline for taking the courses
* Provide a written plan with anticipated BSN completion date.
* Complete BSN within 24 months of start date
Accredited School of nursing BLS for Healthcare Provider certification required
RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as an RN
