Maternal Fetal Sonography Specialist
Inova Health System’s Physicians Services is looking for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer to join our team supporting our Maternal Fetal Medicine group in our brand new offices located in Fairfax, VA on Willow Oaks Corporate Dr. This role is full time, Monday-Friday Days. This position is also eligible for a Sign-on Bonus of up to $15,000

Responsibilities:
- Provides clinical services according to specialized maternal fetal ultrasound practice standards to detect fetal anomalies and acts as a resource to students, nurses, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions
- Communicates effectively with patients/families to answer any questions and to obtain clinical maternal fetal history/informed consent from patient to assist the physician in optimizing the performance and interpretation of the examination
- Assist the physicians in performing TEE, Amniocentesis, and AV optimization studies demonstrating knowledge of proper sterile techniques and isolation precautions as they pertain to the various specialty procedures.
- Demonstrates the ability to use proper care and aseptic cleaning techniques on all equipment, probes and solution to include daily testing
- Operates imaging equipment, performs routine maintenance of imagers/processors to maintain consistent quality images and troubleshoots equipment reporting to equipment to biomedical engineering/vendor as needed.
Requirements:
- Three years of hospital or doctor's office-based experience in the performance of specialized maternal fetal sonography detecting fetal anomalies
- Graduate of an accredited school or program of diagnostic sonography with a specialty or five plus years on the job training performing specialized sonograms
- ARDMS Registration
- BLS and NT Certification
