Insight Global is hiring for an accountant in the Columbus, OH area with a top construction client. This is a 5 day on-site role including Competitive Salary Benefits. Duties include the following:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and oversee the preparation of financial statements, including income statements, quarterly reports, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Submit the required reports on time.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage the organization's budgeting process, including collaborating with departmental managers to create budgets and forecasts, monitoring performance against budget targets, and providing variance analysis.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making, such as profitability analysis, cost analysis, and return on investment (ROI) analysis. Provide insights and recommendations based on analysis findings.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard assets, ensure compliance with regulations, and prevent fraud. Regularly review and update control procedures to mitigate risks.
- Audit Coordination: Liaise with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process. Provide audit support, including preparing schedules, responding to auditor inquiries, and addressing audit findings.
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. Coordinate tax filings and work with external tax advisors to optimize tax strategies and minimize tax liabilities.
- Financial Systems Management: Oversee the implementation and maintenance of financial systems (e.g., ERP systems) to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and improve data integrity.
- Cash Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity by monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash utilization. Implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on surplus cash.
Qualifications
- Experience with people management- will have 1-2 direct reports
- Cash flow analysis- understand what is going in and out
- Ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and identify areas for improvement or risk mitigation.
- Proficiency in accounting principles (e.g., GAAP) and practices, including financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Experience in developing and managing budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning and decision-making.
- Knowledge of internal control procedures to safeguard assets, ensure compliance and prevent fraud. Ability to design and implement effective controls.
- QuickBooks experience
Compensation:
$75,000 to $85,000 per year annual salary.
