The role of the Civil Staff Engineer is to support the senior project engineers and the project management team in preparing schedules and budgets as well as interacting with clients. They will develop and prepare engineering design plans and project specifications, while also assessing potential risks and ensuring industry compliance. Day-to-day 90% of this person's job will be focused on production, 5% on field work, and 5% on managing administrative work such as proposals. MUST HAVES:
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering (flexibility depending upon experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in engineering, design, and/or construction
- Engineer-in-Training (EI/EIT)
- Extensive understanding of permitting protocols and managing the project journey from design to construction management, inspection, and contract administration
- Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including pipelines, pump stations, stormwater, and related civil engineering projects
- Experience in a corporate environment and teachable spirit
Plusses:
- Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license
