Inspire is seeking a chief executive to handle day-to-day operations and to lead Inspire toward the opportunities identified in its Strategic Plan.
Inspire (Orange County Cerebral Palsy Association, Inc.) is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 corporation that provides special education and supports for children with disabilities, and community supports for children and adults with intellectual/developmental disabilities. Incorporated in 1950, Inspire operates special education preschools at locations in Orange County, NY from a corporate base in Goshen NY.
Inspire operates in partnership with ADAPT Community Network, is an affiliate of Cerebral Palsy Association of New York State, and a member of Hudson Valley Service Providers.
Job Functions: The Executive Director is responsible for implementing Inspire’s mission and initiatives by leading and managing the quality and effectiveness of Inspire’s programs, operations, and compliance. The Executive Director has executive authority for budget and program development, service staffing, policy development, and regulatory compliance. The Executive Director ensures quality controls, safety, and effective risk and fiscal management.
This position combines executive administrative with executive operational responsibilities. The successful candidate will demonstrate knowledge of program and supervisory requirements for providing special education services to preschool students with disabilities; knowledge of applicable education laws and regulations; and the ability to direct and evaluate qualified education staff.
The Executive Director reports to the Board of Directors and is appointed by the President & CEO of ADAPT Community Network.
Minimum Qualifications:
o MA, MS, MPHA or similar advanced degree, in a field related to human services and/or education; and/or NYS certification or license to provide an evaluation or related service to a student with a disability as defined in Part 200 of NYSED Commissioners Regulations.
- 5 years of administrative experience in not-for-profit management and familiarity with operations of special education and human services programs.
- Residence within proximity to Inspire’s programs.

- Committed to Inspire’s mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission, and values of Inspire to external and internal stakeholders.
Salary Range: $140,000-$180,000, depending on experience. Benefits include paid time off, health insurance, 401k and 457 plans with employer contributions, mobile phone, life insurance, FSA, and access to supplemental plans.
This is a full-time position that requires on-site attendance.
