Job Description
Title: C Software Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 3 months (with high probability of extensions)
Compensation: $70.00 to $80.00 Annually
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
Job Description:
Seeking a C software engineer.
- Sufficiently high level of capability can be indicated in multiple ways: (a) 5 or more years job experience, (b) proven work on published open source, or (c) educational credentials including high grades throughout multiple C courses.
- Search and replace via regular expressions experience a plus
- Mysql/Mariadb/Percona experience a plus
- Continuous integration experience a plus

- This can be an opportunity for the right candidate to learn more about adaptive systems, Big Data, ML (machine learning), AI, and advanced visualization.
Skillset:
- Knowledge of templatized classes
- Knowledge of capabilities in algorithm, chrono, cmath, csignal, and random standard headers
- Willing to commit to TDD (test driven development)
- Good UNIX/Linux skills
- Solid experience with GNU or Clang C tool chain
- Must be available for full time work 9am to 5pm New York time.
- Good English reading and listening comprehension skills
- Must have and maintain a distraction-free workspace
- Must have and maintain Fedora 36/37 for all development via boot or Docker or Kubernetes or VMWare
- Must use vim with syntastic or CLion or an equivalent to one of those two (including during interview)
