We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our service logistics team! This person will be a key contributor to solving customer logistic issues and as a lead will be involved in the day-to-day activity of the logistics organization. This will include the service warehouse, parts identification and sales, the success of our parts fulfillment process, and part planning and procurement. This person will mentor and make recommendations to enhance and improve everyone’s capabilities. As a lead of the group, this person will be the go-to person for providing guidance for others on daily problems. This person will report directly to Repair and Logistics Manager.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in enhancing and coordinating processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Monitor the structures that are in place to quantify the flow of goods and materials, including transportation, stock control and warehousing.
- Monitor the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of parts.
- Understand and resolve issues with the fast spares order activity.
- Provide telephone assistance to customers and to field personnel.
- Knowledge and an understanding of Field Replaceable Units (FRUs) and Recommended Spare Parts (RSP) definitions.
- Establish burn rates to assure proper stocking levels, delivery times and transport costs. Some scheduling and expediting responsibilities are included.
- Work with Technical Support to evaluate part performance and FRU/RSP identification.
- Willing to mentor and train individuals less experienced.
- This individual will need to be very organized and a team player.
- Enthusiastic and cooperative attitude, good communicator and sensitive to the response requirements of customers and service.
Knowledge, Skills, & Ability Required:
- Logistics, planning, scheduling background.
- Good verbal, interpersonal, and some technical skills
- Good written and communication skills.
- Team player
- Sensitive to customer needs.
- Mentor individuals
Education:
3-5 years related experience in Logistics environments
Working Conditions:
- Plant environment with some exposure to grease, dirt, noise, and operational equipment.
- When necessary, will backup material handling personnel.
