Project Coordinator
Pay Rate/Range: $36.00
Hours: 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Deland, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 11 months
Responsibilities
- Estimating project costs
- Design verification
- Knowledge of building codes
- Project scheduling
- Equipment start-up and commissioning
- Project close-out procedures
- Coordination of customer project meetings and accurate documentation of meeting minutes
- Defining schedules in the project acquisition phase
Skills Required
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Project or Primavera, and Outlook
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
Basic Function
Under the direct supervision of a Project Manager, the candidate will manage large, complex jobs or multiple projects from pre-booking to customer acceptance. Responsibilities include supervising and directing installation, start-up, commissioning, turnover, and warranty of assigned projects to ensure customer satisfaction at final project completion.
Essential Duties
- Participate in pre-bid reviews and sales to operations turnover meetings to evaluate the accuracy of sales estimates and job layouts
- Analyze plans, construction contract specifications, and codes to determine project requirements
- Plan and coordinate subcontractors and maintain 3-week look-ahead schedules for upcoming project phases
- Participate in job site final walk-throughs and manage the completion of all close-out documentation, including As-Built drawings, system operating instructions, transfer of excess materials, billings, collections, payments, and all project records
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Associate degree or equivalent with an emphasis in a technical field; mechanical and HVAC knowledge preferred
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Understanding of job financial reports and the ability to apply these in managing assigned projects
- Strong leadership, listening, verbal, and written communication skills
