In response to sustained growth, InTech is expanding its Projects Team. We are looking for motivated individuals interested in beginning their career in the field of IT. The Traveling Project Technician plays an integral role in the success of new and returning customer projects. This is a position allowing those individuals wanting to grow and expand their potential within the IT world. We’re looking for a motivated individual who enjoys the feeling of successfully solving different obstacles, and is mechanically inclined, to join our world-class projects team.
This role will involve going onsite to dental offices to help build out, solidify and sustain improvements to their IT structure for offices across the United States. The IT structure of a dental office is critically important to their success, which makes us incredibly valuable to them. To make sure we’re providing our clients with the best possible service, project technicians, as the face of InTech to customers, need to be able to speak effectively with clients, troubleshoot IT hardware and learn IT software programs in a timely fashion.
Skills and Qualifications:
Required
- Willingness to Travel via Driving & Flying
- An understanding of networking and computer systems
- Valid driver's license
- The ability to learn through research, technical certification and on-the-job training.
- The willingness to communicate and work in a team environment while maintaining the ability to be self-driven.
- Strong written and oral communication skills. These are a must.
- A working knowledge of computers, server and network systems.
- Strong trouble-shooting skills
Desired
- 2-3 years of network installation experience
- Prior Onsite IT working experience
Responsibilities
- Travel to different dental offices and complete projects as scheduled
- Troubleshoot possible network problems and help suggest solutions
- Communicate and work with team members to coordinate efforts to support clients
- Possible 2-3 day projects for building an entire IT infrastructure at a new or converting dental office
- Local and state-wide installation
- Effective client communication prior to, during and post projects.
Education/Competencies
- High School Diploma or equivalent
Certification
- Certifications in IT field are a plus
Travel Requirements
- 75% In and out of the State of Texas.
