Job Summary:
Join Gaslamp Insurance as a new business Sales Agent and embark on a rewarding career path with substantial earning potential. As part of our team, you’ll receive a base salary complemented by a lucrative monthly commission, affording the opportunity to earn upwards of $100k in your inaugural year and surpass $200k as a top performer in subsequent years. Engage with high-quality leads generated from warm inbound calls and proactive outbound follow-ups. Your role entails guiding contractors in identifying optimal insurance coverage tailored to their business requirements and facilitating the online sales process. Collaborating closely with our Underwriting and Customer Service teams, you’ll ensure a seamless customer experience.
Position Responsibilities:
- Drive sales growth by targeting new business opportunities. Must be comfortable with high-volume incoming calls from prospective customers.
- Identify the insurance needs of contractors and recommend appropriate coverage from our market’s portfolio.
- Cross-sell, provide timely quotes, and effectively close the sale.
- Build a strong rapport with prospects and customers, serving as a trusted advisor throughout the process.
- Utilize our customer database, Agency Management System (AMS), to track your sales activities and outcomes, ensuring that all data and documentation are thorough, precise, and up to date.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve collective sales targets and contribute to organizational success.
- Embrace and adapt to new and evolving technologies as we enhance our processes and workflows to better serve our customers.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Property & Casualty Insurance License is required. (If you are not already licensed, you must become licensed by the first day of hire. Licensing and testing costs will be reimbursed after successful completion)
- Strong preference for candidates with insurance backgrounds and/or designations. Not required.
- Exceptional communication and customer service skills. Professional demeanor combined with a strong team player attitude.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a bonus.
