What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air and Missile Defense Subject Matter Expert (SME) position at Integration Innovation, Inc.?

Overview

i3 is seeking a SME to advise, design and validate educational and training software. Candidate must be creative, adaptive, energetic, and able to assist in the development of virtual training solutions for weapon system employment.

Responsibilities

Candidate should have experience and understanding of Army or Navy Long-Range Weapons Systems and/or Air Defense systems such as Patriot, THAAD, Aegis, or HIMARS. You should possess excellent communications and analytical skills; knowledge of Interactive Multimedia Instruction a plus. You will work closely with customers, supervisors, instructional systems designers, software designers, software engineers and 3D artists to create interactive mobile, web, augmented reality, virtual reality, desktop training systems, serious games, and distributed learning simulations.

 

You will provide subject matter expertise through design meetings, storyboard creation and software content validation; quickly adapt to changing workloads, collaborate with your team and other business units to provide software solutions, following best practices ensuring a high-quality standard. This is a fast-paced work environment with plenty of room for creativity, expression and growth.

 

Position Location: Hunstville, AL

CONUS Travel required: Less than 25%

Qualifications

Required Experience:

  • 15 years’ relevant experience – or - BA/BS Degree and 11 years’ relevant experience
  • Familiarity with a variety Air Defense and Long-Range Weapons systems
  • Familiarity with Army PEO Missiles & Space, TRADOC Centers of Excellence, Naval Education and Training Command (NETC), or NAMDC
  • Ability to obtain SECRET security clearance
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite

 Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledge of the hierarchy and lines of communication within NETC or NAMDC
  • Military experience as an instructor
  • Familiarity with software development, 3D creation, gaming is a plus
