Integrus Architecture is a Pacific Northwest design practice offering architectural, structural engineering, experiential design, and interior design with offices in Spokane, Seattle, and Portland.

Position Description

The experienced Design Architect is responsible for initiating design concepts and leading project design development. They not only start the project and establish the tone of design with the client, but they are also responsible for acquiring a thorough understanding of the project program and design goals and holding to them throughout the life of the project. The Design Architect works with the Project Manager and Project Architect to estimate staffing, plan scheduling, and assist in the implementation of contract requirements. In addition, the Design Architect assists principals and other leaders in marketing the firm and developing close relationships with clients to cultivate trust and continued work. They will stay informed of design trends and issues in the architectural profession and represent Integrus with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

As a Design Architect, you will be an integral, full-time team member in our Architectural group as you:

• Define program requirements and establish design parameters based on client requirements,
• Create and develop overall design concepts, formulate design presentation strategies, and make presentations,
• Manage project design processes while leading and directing the work of assistant designers and technical staff,
• Manage design team members during design implementation to ensure that clarity and quality of concepts are maintained throughout the design process,
• Monitor project budgets and schedules and manage client interaction and design making,
• Represent Integrus in marketing efforts and in the world at large and maintain a strong tone and culture of design in the firm.

A successful candidate is highly communicative, possesses the ability to motivate others to reach finite milestones, and is capable of being a knowledge expert for project teams.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in architecture
• Architectural License

• 10 years’ experience minimum
• Experience in developing architectural concepts through to completion
• Experience with client and stakeholders’ groups
• Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal and collaboration skills
• Excellent verbal, written communication, and graphic skills
• Excellent time management and multitasking skills

Position Preferences

• Public Sector work experience, especially Higher Education, K-12 education, Libraries and civic work.
• Proficiency with Architectural software programs such as: Revit, Rhino, Sketchup, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Salary Range

This position offers $100,000 - $120,000 per year with a midpoint at $110,000. New hires typically receive between minimum and midpoint, however, we may go slightly higher based on experience and market.
