Job Description
Intel's Dev Cloud team is seeking a Cloud Network Engineering Manager! Knowledge and experience in distributed systems, large data center networks, and ethernet switch management is required with an emphasis on high performance networks for multi-tenant environments.
As a manager, you will set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
Responsibilities also include but are not limited to:
Plans, provides resources for and directs activities in engineering function to meet schedules, standards, and cost.
Cultivates and reinforces appropriate group values, norms and behaviors.
Identifies and analyzes problems, plans, tasks, and solutions.
Provides guidance on employee development, performance, and productivity issues.
Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.
Inadequacies and erroneous decisions would cause moderate inconvenience and expense.
The candidate will be responsible for building and leading a team of network engineers responsible for designing and implementing network fabrics for a variety of cloud use cases. The candidate will be expected to be hands on manager with a background in the architecture, design and implementation of the solutions. The willingness to work in a cross-functional environment is required to succeed in this complex execution environment.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader, passionate about technology, with a broad, system-level understanding of data center systems, networking, and a proven willingness to execute complex programs. Experience in the design of cloud network subsystems and management is required.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications
The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 9 years of experience -OR- a Master's Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 6 years of experience -OR- a PhD in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 4 years of experience in:
Network Engineering Management
Cloud network technologies
Switch OS technology
Xeon platforms, Network Switches and Nics.
Developing both Linux kernel and user space infrastructure and drivers.
Linux architecture (Kernel, user space, and virtualization)
Preferred Qualifications
Arista NoS and SONiC, PA firewalls
Intel Processors, NICs within a data center context

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $136,750.00-$232,630.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
