Job Description
The Production Libraries Group is looking for a Software Engineer in Electronic Design Automation (EDA)/ Computer Aided Design (CAD) to develop and support best in class standard cell library designs for use by Intel CPU, Atom, Graphics, mixed signal IPs, Client, Sever, Chipset projects and IFS Foundry customers.
The candidate will be part of the Production Libraries team responsible for standard cells validation enablement doing validation automation development.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Automate validation tool execution analysis to enable code and execution improvements.
- Design of database and tools analytics for performance and quality improvements.
- Develop automation to analyze and compare standard cell library models to enable validation and quality improvements.
- Develop automation to enhance and expand ASIC design testcases for improved validation flow coverage.
This is a remote internship for 6 months.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Candidate must be pursuing a Master's degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with 6 months experience in the following:
- Programming and automation skills using Python.
- In one or more areas of VLSI Design Automation such as Physical Design Automation or Simulation or Timing Analysis or Reliability Analysis.
- Programming and scripting experience in Linux or Tcl.
Preferred Qualifications:
6 months of experience in the following:
- Programming and automation skills including Machine Learning, C, Shell Scripting, Analytics.
- Experience in Data Structure and Algorithms.
- In depth technical knowledge on circuit design, front end model creation and functional verification.
- Knowledge in one or more areas of Liberty File Format/Standard Cell Characterization/Timing Analysis/IR drop Analysis/Reliability Analysis.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, New York, Washington, California: $63,000.00-$166,000.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
Working Model
This role is available as a fully home-based and generally would require you to attend Intel sites only occasionally based on business need. This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
Salary : $63,000 - $166,000
