Requisition Number : 2024-141Job Title : VAMT Mechanical Maintenance TechnicianCity : MorristownState : TNEnsure production equipment operates efficiently by performing equipment maintenance on a daily basis.
This position is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs for all production, facility and utility equipment.
Seeking a self-motivated, experienced, and dedicated individual. Must be able to work 12 hour shifts on nights (including weekends).
This position is supported by two (2) electrical technicians on the night shift. Complies with all safety rules and procedures.
Maintains and completes all required records. Individual must be available to work overtime as needed. Performs other duties as required, or assigned by Supervisor .Responsibilities / Duties
Comply with all written and verbal safety rules using personal protective equipment as required by department and plant safety programs.
Complete with all general plant rules on conduct and attendance.Follow directions of Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor, or designated Shift Supervisor.
Identify and correct, in a timely manner, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic problems in all areas of the plant including production equipment, material handling, etc.
Provide timely preventive maintenance support coordinating with production personnel.Maintain and complete all necessary forms, files and paperwork associated with the PM and work order programs.
Responsible for good housekeeping in assigned and work areas.Available for overtime, call-ins, and rotating schedules.Comply with plant safety regulations and good manufacturing practices.Required Skills
Good oral and written communication skillsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsAbility to gas and arc weld and use a cutting torchWelding, cutting, machining, and millwright duties requiredUnderstanding pneumatic-hydraulic schematics and P & IDBlue print reading and understanding of spare parts and technical documentation is essentialBasic skills in electrical controls and functions are requiredPreferred Skills
Previous industrial maintenance experience in BOPP operations preferredRequired Education
Technical school or Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance requiredPreferred Education
Required Qualifications
Have a strong background in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as machining experience is requiredBasic computer knowledgeSafety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes is required on some or all jobsMust have good communication skillMust be able to multi-taskMust be able and willing to work overtime on an as needed basis.
Must be willing to be on-call and work some nights and weekends that are requiredPreferred Qualifications
