Job Description
Intercap Lending is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Loan Closer to facilitate the final stages of the loan closing process. The Loan Closer will play a pivotal role in coordinating with various parties to ensure accurate and timely completion of loan transactions. The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Review and prepare closing documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
* Collaborate with underwriters, loan processors, title companies, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for closing.
* Coordinate with borrowers to schedule closing appointments and communicate any required documentation.
* Ensure the accuracy of loan terms, fees, and transaction details on closing documents.
* Coordinate the distribution and collection of closing documents for signatures and approvals.
* Verify the funding amount and allocate funds to the appropriate parties.
* Address any last-minute changes or discrepancies in closing documents.
* Conduct quality control checks to ensure the completeness and accuracy of loan files.
* Maintain organized records and documentation of closing activities.
* Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to loan closings.
Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is a plus.
* 2 years of experience in loan closing, mortgage lending, or related roles.
* Strong understanding of mortgage loan closing processes and documentation.
* Proficiency in reviewing loan documents and ensuring accuracy.
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and relevant software applications.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* Familiarity with Encompass or other loan origination systems is a plus.
