Role
This is a revenue budget carrying sales role operating from the Interface Headquarters located in Scottsdale, AZ. The role carries responsibility for achievement of assigned bookings and revenue goals via direct interaction with sales reps, the Regional and National Sales Directors. You will be responsible to sell all of Interface products and services through our sales rep organization or directly to a large number of named and non-named accounts within a geographical territory. Primary responsibility is to sell, cross-sell and up-sell Interface solutions to prospective, existing and prior customers. Manage sales through forecasting, account support, account strategy, lead advancement/nurturing, opportunity qualification and planning. Develop solution proposals/quotes encompassing all aspects of the application and technical requirements. Role requires a strong ability to attract new customers, retain and grow our existing customer revenue. Provide a world class customer experience positively impacting the quantity of happy and referenceable customers within assigned territory.
In this role, you will work directly with customers to find technical solutions in force and torque measurement, while also helping to find and develop new customers. You’ll support the managers’ in creating partnerships via innovative solutions that meet Interface’s product development goals. And will also be responsible for creating and recording all contact interactions and building an opportunity sales list via the company’s CRM system. You must have an inquisitive mind, but also an out-going personality – and you must be a results-oriented self-starter who drives to meets personal and professional goals and remains undaunted in the face of obstacles.
- Daily interaction with prospects and customers via all communication channels
- Highly developed prospecting, selling, customer relations and closing experience
- Daily support to Regional Manager and Sales Reps
- Support sales cycles through generation of RFS, MIS, Custom Solutions, etc.
- Tracks and manages all opportunities post quotation status through negotiations and objections handling to close
- Tenaciously finds work-arounds and creative solutions to process or operational obstacles
- Maintains a consistent focus on pipeline growth and development
- Develops an understanding of Interface’s operational standards, policies, tools and processes
- Develops an awareness of the Interface Go-to-Market and their role in it.
- Learns how to reach out within Interface to identify stakeholders and engage them in driving success, clear obstacles and support initiatives
- Coordinates and collaborates with Regional and International or National Sales Director to lead internal resources and external clients and prospects through a flawlessly executed sales cycle
- Liaison of information and technical data between prospects, customers and product design engineers.
- Daily management of geographic territory, sales activity, goals and objectives
- Daily management of all lead types through conversion
- Formal preparation of quotations and specifications
- Ability to read, understand and articulate technical outline drawings
- Respond proactively to all engineering requests and purchase orders ensuring all documents are complete, accurate and entered into the manufacturing systems to ensure a timely delivery.
- Provide excellent support and care for the management of CRM data – ensuring that all account, contact, lead, opportunity and customer care information is recorded in a timely manner and well-organized.
- Articulates the value proposition of the Interface solutions at the customer level
- Technical Aptitude and Appetite to continuously learn Interface solutions toward becoming a subject matter expert within your assigned territory
- Maintains positive relationships with the entire Interface eco-system to create sales force strength, competitive differentiation and team unity
- Regional specific travel for strategic business purposes may be required periodically
Qualifications
Education/Background: Engineering, technical, or business degree; 4-year college preferred
Experience: Inside technical sales (3 to 5 years)
Department: Sales – Reports to the International or North American Sales Director
