As a Home Health Wound Registered Nurses, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Supervise and coordinate wound care services
- Assist with providing direct patient care for our wound care clients
- Assess wounds, determine wound care needs and frequency and communicate effectively with physician's offices, insurance and the wound care manager
- Teach and educate clients, families and coordinate care with other nurses
- Understand Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance requirements
- Maintain a positive working relationship with local wound care clinics and physicians
- Perform wound VAC dressing changes
A few must-haves for Home Health Wound Registered Nurses:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and active RN license in Colorado
- At least one (1) year of recent clinical hands on experience
- Home health experience preferred
- Health care CPR certified
- Experience with OASIS assessment and required time points
- Knowledge of state and federal home health regulations
- Clinical proficiency in nursing specialty, strong communication skills and compassion
