Job Description
Interior Concepts is a general contractor conducting work from St Lucie County down to Miami-Dade County in search of a permitting coordinator. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced construction environment requiring a team player attitude with the willingness to learn and grow. The right candidate must be able to work independently to complete given tasks, have the ability to think for themselves and problem solve as well as work with a team to see projects through to completion. The right candidate is detail oriented, well organized, can multitask, a good communicator, positive attitude, and an elevated understanding of computers.
Prior construction industry experience is required! This position is full-time Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 5:00 pm. **Salary is negotiable, based on experience.** Health insurance is available with employer contribution. Paid vacation is offered when eligible.
Responsibilities
Permitting:
· Applying for permits
· Following up with permit status through issuance, visiting building departments as needed.
· Record Notice of Commencements.
· Detailed documentation throughout the permitting process.
· Applying for Certification of Occupancy while assisting with close out documents.
Estimating:
· Providing administrative support to the estimating department
· Assist in the bid process.
· Order plans
· Track subcontractors and vendors responses to ITBs, make follow-up communications as necessary.
· Create and host walk-throughs.
· Assist estimator with preparing all documents necessary for a thorough bid
· Create bid books.
